Ingredients

  • For the rice:
  • 2 cups of sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • For the sausage filling:
  • 4 sausage links (your choice of flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of green onions, finely chopped
  • For assembling:
  • 4 sheets of nori seaweed
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
  • Optional: soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce

Instructions

  • Make sure that the rice is ready to eat. It is recommended that the sushi rice be washed a number of times under cold running water until the water turns clear.
